We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Sims celebrated his 2nd birthday at the NC zoo. It was so much fun and Isla enjoyed watching him open all his gifts. The animals were pretty cool too! We also have a picture of Rhonda with one of our zoo animals-Jackson!

Isla's first beach trip

We decided to go to the beach for the weekend to celebrate Alex's birthday. It was also Isla's first beach trip. She loves the water! I'm certain she will love the beach when she gets older. The sun is just to bright for her now. She did enjoy her new bathing suit.

Sorry I'm a little late posting her 6 month stats:
weight: 16lbs 4oz (50th%)
height: 25 3/4 inches (60th%)
head: I can't recall, but in the 90th%
She did great at her checkup and everything looks great! We don't go back to the pediatrician until 9 months-yay.
Isla is a very happy baby and smiles nonstop.
She has added so much joy to this house!

Easter and eating solids?!

Isla's rice cereal face!

We started solids easter sunday because Isla seemed to be ready. She loved it! It was a bit messy. After breakfast, we went over to Jason and Maggie's for Easter to celebrate. We also got to see Rhonda and Smith. It was a nice get together and the food was awesome. We also hunted easter eggs with Sims. Next year Isla can hunt eggs!

Five months

It's getting harder and harder to get this little girl to stay still for her photos! She is on the move. Isla is now rolling over front to back and back to front. She will be crawling soon. She rolls all over the place! She definitely knows her parents and loves to smile. She now laughs and smiles at everyone. Isla continues to go to "school" 3 days a week. She has a great personality and it shows more and more each day. I'm not sure about her height and weight, but her 6 month appointment is next month.

Isla just chillin' in her chair!

4 Months

This pretty much sums up the day after our 4 month checkup with shots!
Isla's stats:
weight: 14lbs 5 oz (74%)
height: 24 1/2 inches (55%)
head circumference: 16 3/4 inches (80%)

The Doctor said everything looks great and that she has a large brain(haha). She did get her shots and had a fever the next day. This was not fun. She was still playing and smiling throughout the night. Isla will now smile at everyone, but especially at mom and dad. She has more control of her neck and loves to sit in the bumbo chair.
She loves playing on her mat and she can turn over from her tummy to back. She can almost make it the other way, she just can't get over that arm! She loves it when you talk to her and she is constantly trying to talk back. She loves to see herself in the mirror. She also loves to go for walks.
Can you tell that she loves to be naked!
She is a baby during the day, but at night she is known as"bat girl".

Isla's 1 month shot

Our little girl is growing! We are not sure exactly what she weighs or her height. Isla's next checkup is next month. She smiles all the time and loves her Mommy and dad. She even tries to giggle when she gets excited. She started school(daycare) this month. It was an adjustment for us. She seems to like it now that she is eating from a bottle.

Isla's night with the Grandparents

My parents were in town and Isla loved it! They kept Isla while Alex and I had a date night. We went out for sushi and I realized how much I've missed it. Dad rocked Isla to sleep while she had a tight grip on her baby lamb. She finally fell asleep.

She has now discovered her hands and loves to put them in her mouth!

Just chilling!!

Isla loves her new leggings-thanks grandnana!

She loved the trips to Target. We had a great weekend with the grandparents and hope to see them soon. Isla was very sad and fussy when they left.

Isla loves the water!

Our little girl loves her bath time. She just smiles and splashes around. I do believe she loves the freedom of being without her diaper! I just love her round belly. She smiles and is attempting to talk to us all the time. She is so much fun!! We are really enjoying her. She had a visit with her grandmother (Rhonda) this past week. We all went shopping and out to eat lunch. Isla had a blast!

Isla's other grandparents and great grandmother are coming up this weekend to visit. She can't wait to see everyone!

Our little reindeer

We had a great Christmas with our little Blitzen! We went home for the holidays to see my parents and we got about 4 inches of snow. It was beautiful. Alex enjoyed playing in the snow. He actually took this picture of my parent's barn.

We then came back to Raleigh to celebrate Christmas with Alex's parents and the Puryears. It was great and we love our new coffee maker!! I am sure next Christmas will be fun when Isla is a little older and can enjoy gifts. We wish everyone a Happy New Year.
